By Air: The nearest major airport to Aritar is Bagdogra Airport, located approximately 90 kilometers away. For a closer option, you can fly into Pakyong Airport, which is around 41 kilometers from Aritar.

By Train: New Jalpaiguri (NJP) Railway Station is the closest major railway station, about 110 kilometers from Aritar. The journey by road from NJP to Aritar is approximately 4 to 4.5 hours, passing through charming villages and lush greenery.

What to see in Aritar

Lampokhri Lake: One of the main attractions of Aritar is, Lampokhri Lake or Aritar Lake. Beautiful lake surrounded by pine forest. You can enjoy paddle boat riding here for INR 100/person

Mankhim Viewpoint: Mankhim Viewpoint is close to Aritar Lake. From this point, you’ll be able to see a 180-degree view of Mt Kanchenjunga. Aritar Lake is also visible from Mankhim viewpoint.

Old Silk Route: You can visit the Silk Route, up to Kupup Lake, from Aritar. It can either be a day trip and back to Aritar, or you can go to Gangtok via Baba Mandir, Tsomgo Lake.
